What is the best fishing bait to use in saltwater?

For me, the best fishing bait for saltwater is a piece of squid in a very sharp hook.
|

I usually use shrimps in saltwater. That's the best fishing bait I could think of right now.

I say any fish bait. The bigger fish you want to catch, the bigger bait you use. But I must agree, squid works good for snapper down there.

I recommend that you use live bait such as squid, sardines and mackerel, etc. Those work better than most lures.

Get the right bait for the fish you want to catch. For example, to catch mackerel, use a tiny strip of squid with a split shot sinker. Squid looks like a live bait. And by the way, a mackerel is also an excellent bait to catch big fish... like sharks!

yeah man! worms are still good to use. What attrracts the fish is movement of bait. So live worms will always work.

|
I fish for Salmon and the bait I use is Herring.
