Just wondering if its a good idea to use trolling reel on a spinning
reel to fish on the surf. I want to buy a reel that can handle at least
400 yards of 25 lb test line. SO is it a good combination? what are
your recommendations on the surf combo likewise I said I want a reel
that can handle alot of line. Thanks

Although it is not recommended it still can be done if you have nothing
else to do. The guides on the Spinning rodl is stated sligthly
different from those bait casting rod. The design of the backbone of
the rod is also set of the best in the direction in which they are
placed.
