I got a 12' aluminum skift for sly fishing. If we get any water I plan to fish again. Right now the oars meet in the middle I want those handles to be in front of my shoulder. Also the oarlacks are between my knees and hips but closer to my hips. I want them closer to my kness. I can do this with "my moving map" on my mind. But Im wondering if there is something like a documentation that will tell what the standard is. Anybody else run acrosss something as mundane as Oars?

No sych bird law in Michigan but instead of moving the Oarlocks just put the pair of new ones where you wants, theis way you dont have holes you will need to plug the Oarlocks are still in present manufacture position if and you ever decide to sell the boat. Someone else wont want the Oarlock where you put them and will kick on buying it then. When you sell you can tell them the other set of Oarlock is for someone with longer or shorter arms.

I think my Oars are long enough, I just need to fet them a little deeper into the water. Oars dont fear them if they are left
in the water this will probably be the last season for the one I have ill be starting new pretty soon. I like rowing its like guys you are on your tube so quite and peaceful I dont like noisy squeaky oarlocks
