Well its all about proper boat positioning and having great and quality polaroids to see the fish before they see you. Sunny days are the best
obviously.

you can try fishing early in the morning or late in the day for the best results... especially if there is lots of sunshine and you are fishing in shallow water... however, on an overcast or rainy day, fish anytime....

And if you plan to wade in the shallow water, use a long cast if you're fishing. Wading stirs up sediments and causes water movement, which will spook any fish nearby. However, if you are in a boat or a raft in a shallow water, use a short cast.

Great care must be taken to avoid spooking the fish. When fish are spotted, it will be important to determine
what the fish is doing (cruising, tailing or mudding). If the fish are
mudding in deeper water, you don't need to worry about spooking them -
simply cast your offering within the "marl" and retrieve it.

Use a long cast if youre fishing while wading in a shallow water.
Wading stirs up sediments and causes water movement, which will spooks
any fish nearby. If you are in a boat or a raft in a shallow water use
a short cast. Try not to lean over and look in the water if you are
fishing in a dock. Otherwise the fish will identify you as a threat.
