Start fishing in 5 to 18 ft water and create lots of movement to attract crappie then pull steady when the fish bites. Crappie loves cooler water and can be found mostly in lakes.

Catching crappie is not that difficult. You just have to learn to catch them consistently. Just do some research about crappie. Know and understand different infos about them, like: Where they prefer to live, what they eat, how seasons influence their behavior and how they see.

you may have to check out first about crappie spawning times... water temperature triggers it... and during spring spawn, the crappies will be in shallow waters...

Spring is the best time to catch crappie as they are involved in their spawning runs. They love cover, so locate brush, stumps or any artificial cover at appropriate depths and you are likely to find one.

Some folks like a flyrod, but my weapon of choice is an ultra-lite
spinning outfit with a 7 ft rod. Those little buggers will bite on
anything if you are fishing in the right spot. I set a bobber about a
foot and a half or two foot deep when using worms, crawlers.wax worms,
crickets, grasshopper, grubs or minnows. You can also use mister
twister artificial worms,poooers or worms.
