Alabama Angler Wins Guntersville Tournament |

David Gray of Alabama emerged as the winner of the Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League Choo Choo Division Super Tournament held in Lake Guntersville.
Following Gray's lead are Randall Tharp, Tony Harrison, Gerald Gann, and Eric Nethery. Tharp also got $500 for being the top Ranger cup participant. Jack Womack won the boater Division Snickers Big Bass award while Danny Jordan brought home $3848

Drug Tests Issued at World Angling Championships |

Contestants at the World Angling Championships held last week in Britain were drug tested because of officials' concerns that they will use stimulants such as amphetamines and cocaine to sharpen their reflexes.

Kokanee Fishing at an Idaho Lake Closed |

Kokanee salmon fishing has been banned at Idaho's Lake Coeur D'Alene. The ban applies to all part of the lake except for the southern end which is managed by the Coeur D'Alene tribe.
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will lift the ban until the population of kokanee salmon increases. Summer trawls have revealed that there was a decrease in the number of mature and 2-year-old kokanees.
