Australian Fishing Industry Buyouts Start Tomorrow

The second phase of the Australian fishing industry buyouts starts tomorrow.
A share in the $40 million budget is in store for fishing businesses and communities. Businesses can avail $100,000 up to quarter of a million dollars for closing down and redeveloping, respectively.
"Business that can no longer operate at all - they can apply for the business exit assistance, for those that say 'we can be still be viable if we can tweak our business but we need some assistance' well we've got the business development assistance," says Minister Eric Abetz of the Federal Fisheries.
Applications for grants will be open until January 12.
