Twenty-one Pakistani nationals have been detained along with three boats by the Indian coast guards for fishing illegally in the Indian area.
The said detainees were brought to Okha for joint interrogation with other national security agencies. After the interrogation, they were handed over to the Okha police for further action.
Their fishing boats were sighted by the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) while they were patrolling Sunday afternoon.
The ship altered course towards boats and increased speed. On seeing the ship approaching, the boats increased the speed and started heading in different direction. The ship fired air warning shots of a small arm and also warned them to stop engines on loud hailer.
Approximately 600 kg of fish were found inside the boats.
