FRIDAY, 30 MARCH 2007
Wisconsin hunting, fishing and trapping licenses, along with state parks and trails passes, for the next year are now on sale at sporting goods stores and Department of Natural Resources offices.
Current licenses expire this Saturday. The state’s license year runs from April 1 to March 31.
There are no changes in licenses or fees in 2007, according to DNR officials. Fees were raised last year, between $2 and $5 in most cases.
Conservation Patron and Sports licenses that lump many or several licenses together are available for residents, nonresidents and juniors (ages 12-17).
The Conservation Patron license costs $165 for residents and includes 25 items, including fishing, hunting, archery and trapping licenses, several permit applications and stamps, and an annual state park sticker and trails pass.
The Junior Patron license is $75, but does not include a parks sticker or trails pass.
Nonresident Patron licenses are $600, and the nonresident Junior Patron is $77.
The resident Sports license is $60 and includes fishing, small game and deer gun. The Junior Sports is $35.
