Clear Lake is currently California’s most popular fishing lake, and it’s not hard to see why.
The largest natural freshwater lake in California, it has dozens of resorts and private campgrounds along its 100 or so miles of shoreline. And while many of the state’s reservoirs have had their water levels dropped to supply Southern areas, it still looks nearly full.
And how is the fishing, you ask? It's been common in the recent months to catch 20 to 30 bass per day. The best activity has been drop-shotting Senkos, rigged Wacky style, on the west side of the lake, starting at dawn.
