The Darkhouse Spearfishing season in North Dakota kicks off on December 1 and ends on February 29. It is organized by the North Dakota Game and Fish Department.

Fishermen Forced to Cooperate on Auction Probe |

Federal fishery regulators threatened fishermen with fines if they would not provide information for the investigation of the Gloucester Seafood Display Auction.
About 60 skippers and several others who are associated with the fishing industry were called to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to be questioned about catch limit, permit discrepancies, among other things.
