Anglers kept themselves busy to a light tackle roosterfish at San Jose del Cabo's Puerto Los Cabos marina in Mexico under windy but relatively good fishing conditions.
Eric Brictson of Gordo Banks Pangas caught about 184 roosterfish, 205 Mexican bonito, 148 sierra, 4 striped marlin, 9 yellowfin tuna, 25 amberjack, 21 cabrilla, 82 red snapper or huachinango, and 9 dorado.
According to Brictson, the place just south of Punta Gorda off La Laguna is a hot spot for the roosterfish in the 4- to 6-pound range.
