The Seafish, a UK seafood body, accused World Wildlife Fund (WWF) of using misleading, inaccurate and outdated information in its Stinky Fish seafood campaign. In addition, the trade body, Scottish Salmon Producers’ Organization (SSPO), claims that WWF will make the consumers confused.
The WWF launched its new Stinky Fish sustainable seafood campaign on the website to encourage shoppers to make the right decisions about fish issues.
The Stinky Fish features a video in which a puppet asks the public as to how the seafood they eat was caught. The video called for consumers to look for a Marine Stewardship Council label when they are buying seafood.
