The 21st Annual Limestone/Independence Day Celebration and Kid’s Fishing Contest will be held on June 28.
The number of young children fishing in the contest continues to grow each year. Also noticeable in growth is the number of parents, grandparents, and other family members who have continued to fish all summer long with their children! For that, we’re also very thankful! This winter, we have also had a lot of kids ice fishing on the lake!
We are again looking for any small donations of any item(s) that can be used by these kids to further their enjoyment of fishing and the outdoors. Hooks, sinkers, line, lures, rods, reels, hats, outdoor books or videos, magazines…ANYTHING would be extremely welcome.
As before, you and/or your company’s name will appear in our event flyers, be announced during the fishing contest and during the prize distribution. Also later that evening, we will announce all the donors prior to the evening fireworks. Any local media coverage, along with a Certificate of Thanks will also be sent shortly afterwards.
Our lake contains largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, blue gill & rainbow trout. Jacque, Jerry, and myself are Youth Fishing Instructors certified by the State of Nebraska Game & Parks Commission.
