The Free Fishing Weekend will be held on June 7 and 8 at any of Wisconsin’s lakes, rivers, and streams, including the Great Lake and rivers bordering Wisconsin. Everyone can fish without license, but all the regulations like length and bag limits are applied.
The annual Free Fishing Weekend is open to everyone. Aside from fishing, there are other activities that will take place in state parks and other locations throughout Wisconsin. These activities include picnic lunches, demonstrations, games, and hands-on learning opportunities for all ages.
Fishing equipment like rods and reels will be provided during the event and people can also borrow from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) tackle loaner.
