Pinkham Notch, NH - The Annual Kids Free Fishing Day at Wildcat Mountain starts this Saturday, June 5th at the Wildcat Mountain pond in Pinkham Notch. Gates open at 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for kids aged 15 and below while in the afternoon, there's fishing for all ages. There won't be any charges for the day, no fishing licenses required , and everyone is welcome.
Jeff Swayze will be on hand to offer kids one-on-one instructions on all things having to do with fish and fishing. He's an experienced fly fisherman with Agiocochook Fly Fishing Adventures. He will also offer two fly fishing demonstrations: one at 9:30 a.m. and another at 12:30 p.m. with a chance for anyone who wants to give it a try. Prizes will be awarded during the morning session.
Kids Free Fishing Day will happen rain or shine. Kids should be accompanied by an adult and they need to bring their own gear. The fishing pond at Wildcat Mountain is accessible via the "C lot" entrance situated about a quarter mile past the main entrance on the north-bound side of Rt. 16 on the way to Gorham, New Hampshire. Fishing is really fun. To catch fish is very fun. That is what I felt even if I am an adult already. How much more with the kids. This site really provides us fun also by reading people's experiences in fishing.
