Fishing Apparel - Rain Gear
One of the things that you cannot precisely predict is the Weather Conditions
, and I doubt it if you plan on getting soaked in the middle of your Fishing escapade. If you leave the house on a very sunny morning, do not get too complacent. Having rain showers later in the day is a possible occurrence. Preparation is all it takes for you to have a wonderful time fishing- rain or shine. Here are some suggestions on the suitable Fishing Rain Gear:
A poncho with a hood is a great Fishing Rain Gear. You can put it on over whatever clothes you are already wearing and still be comfortable. Wear it together with Chest waders so that you will remain dry in heavy rain showers.
If you do not have Chest waders, another option is to wear a rain suit. This is a plastic or coated-nylon pants and jacket with a hood attached. A rain suit cannot cover your feet so you better use decent waterproof footwear.
Rain suits will keep you dry while fishing, but they are made of plastic or coated-nylon so it cannot absorb moisture and sweat. There are better rain suits which allow air circulation through outlets or flaps as additional features.
But if you decide on spending a lot of time fishing and you have the money, buy a Gore-Tex rain suit. Gore-Tex is a material that has billions of microscopic pores- nine billion per square inch, to give you an idea. This amazing feature makes you dry inside by stopping water from going through and at the same time permitting moisture to come out.
Make sure to bring your Rain Gear whenever you go fishing. As meantioned before, it is better to be always ready.
