One part to your rod, one with a short breaking line to your weight, and the other to a baited hook. With the breaking line I use is 50 lbs. So when snagged I have some chance in getting my weight back. A weight beats the whole rig. When you loose your weight keep your bait down in the strike zone for a while no sense pulling your bait for nothing its still fishing near the bottom. So be ready.
